Gabi, founder of HeartWorks Marin, holding a freshly thrown bowl

  ABOUT ME

Hi everyone! My name is Gabrielle. I grew up in the East Bay, spent six years living on the Hawaiian Islands, and now reside in the beautiful Marin County. I've been an artist my whole life. I come from a family of artists and had the opportunity to explore many creative mediums from a young age, and continued through high school, college and beyond. After moving back to the Bay Area in 2023, I was working at a plant nursery and wanted to start making custom ceramic planters. I began work-trading at a pottery studio and was soon promoted to teaching other students. Currently, I teach at Hall Middle School, Bacich Elementary School and other venues throughout Marin County. This includes ceramics, arts & crafts programs, seasonal wreath workshops and more. It is incredibly fulfilling work to teach, and I am dedicated to providing a safe, fun, explorative space for people to unleash their creativity and watch their imagination come to life.

OUR VISION

HeartWorks is a gathering space for community (common unity)—a place to connect with and express our creative selves, as well as support and be inspired by those around us. Art (and life) is full of trials, errors, and great successes. Sharing this journey together, and celebrating all of it, makes for a truly enriching experience—one that allows us to grow and learn in all the ways we hope for, and some unexpected ways too!
